In the last three months we have extended the braai room of the townhouse, moving the sliding door, adding windowed walls, a new built in Dover coal stove and braai, new roof sheets and a new ceiling. We live in sunny South Africa and our next project is to fit a pallet wood ceiling in the main house braairoom as well as new floor. Then a patio and garden will hopefully follow before December.

Does the type or quality of concrete matter all that much in this case? I would just look at the product and see if it would be good for a patio. It does help to have someone there who has done concrete before. My sister would like to have a patio built in her backyard since this may help add value to her property.
